SAMWU MEDIA BRIEFING ON THE CITY OF JOHANNESBURG
The South African Municipal Workers’ Union (SAMWU) in the City of Johannesburg (Petrus Mashishi Region) has noted the developments within the City regarding the impending motion of no confidence against the current Mayor, Cllr Kabelo Gwamanda. The Union has also taken note of the calls by the Democratic Alliance and IMATU concerning the Political Facilitated Agreement (PFA) entered into by the City of Johannesburg and the Union to address salary disparities for Johannesburg employees.
SAMWU will therefore, hold a media briefing to outline the Union’s position on these matters and their impact on workers, service delivery, and the stability of the City. The details of the briefing are as follows:
